KGMID and Knowledge Graph: a glossary
The vocabulary KGMID SEO: Claim Your Entity Before Google Defines It for You uses, defined once each. Every term here is named in the book.
Why does this glossary exist?
The industry uses at least six names for substantially the same discipline.
Each entry states what the term means, who uses it, how it differs from the terms nearest it, and what this book says about it.

Corroboration
Corroboration is agreement between independent sources on the same claim about an entity, and it is what promotes a claim into a fact the Knowledge Graph will hold.
-
07
Entity resolution
Entity resolution is the process by which a system decides which known entity a given mention refers to, rather than treating the name as just a string of text.
-
08
Disambiguation
Disambiguation is the deliberate separation work that lets a knowledge system tell your entity apart from anything else sharing its name.
-
09
Panel threshold
The panel threshold is the level of confidence an entity's record must reach before Google chooses to display a knowledge panel for it.
